Commissioned by Dresdner Musikfestspiele.
The creation of a new art form between classical concert and music theatre is the aim of the oratorio "Lost Objects", which was premiered as part of the Dresden Musikfestspiele 2001. In this documentary Theo Roos and Robert Groß tell the exciting story of the development of this extraordinary project and accompany the makers from rehearsals to the world premiere in Dresden.
"Lost objects" is a reach into the time machine of most diverse cultural creation and creators. Video and slide projections by Rachel de Boer and dura lux combine with trance variations from DJ Spooky's Apple PC. Concerto Köln plays spherical music on its historical instruments, the Rias Chamber Choir sings. Four stages are set up for four dancers. Three singers are placed on a stage tower. Five members of the chamber choir mingle with the audience as performers. The production earned itself the title of a "multimedia transmusicArt Project".
