Ugo Dehaes started dancing at the age of 18 by taking workshops with David Hernandez, Benoit Lachambre, Saburro Teshigawara, and others. In 1996 he started at PARTS. From 1998 to 2001 he was working for Meg Stuart. In 2000 he founded together with Charlotte Vanden Eynde the company kwaad bloed in which he made following full evening performances: lijfstof, Coupure, ROEST, Rozenblad, Couple-like and FORCES. At the same time he danced for other choreographers as Arco Renz, Gisèle Vienne / Etienne Bideau-Rey, Emil Hrvatin, Kataline Patkaï, Nada Gambier, ..
