Thiago Granato is a Brazilian choreographer based in Berlin. His own work as a choreographer has been presented in different countries as Brazil, Israel, Spain, Austria, Germany, Sweden and France. Among them are PLANO B (2008), WE ARE NOT SUPERFICIAL, WE LOVE PENETRATION (2008), TOMBO (2009), BASEMENT (2011) and THIS IS CONCRETE (2012). From 2000 to 2013 he developed works in collaboration with dance artists such as Simone Mello, Adriana Grechi, Lia Rodrigues, João Saldanha, Cristina Moura, Neto Machado, Cristian Duarte, Thelma Bonavita, Mathilde Monnier, Sandro Amaral, Lenio Kaklea, Jefta van Dinther and Frederic Gies. He took part of the education project Ex.e.r.ce 8, coordinated by Xavier Le Roy, at the Centre Chorégraphique National Montpellier (France), directed by Mathilde Monnier. He was one of the choreographers invited to participate in the project Lote#2 in São Paulo (Brazil). During the years of 2013 and 2014 he was selected to be fellow at Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart (Germany) where he is researching and developing new choreographic works.
