The Weepers - In this production, freely inspired by traditional Slavic laments for the dead, SKUTR confronts the old world - the old way of life of our ancestors - and our current world - current central European life. Do we till carry the roots of our traditions, and can we uncover them? The project uses a combinatio of physical theatre and traditional Slavic songs.
Reviews:
SKUTR (Martin Kukučka and Lukáš Trpišovský) like to ask questions, and they make sure the answers are not easy. "The Weepers" is no exception - audiences will find in it a statement that shows a contemplative approach ad the search for new spheres of inspiration. Its young creators show convincingly that these are above all strong emotions, which have not changed and which span centuries and environments, affecting our behaviour and sometimes living their won lives.

The producers know how to make full use of shorthand, hints and imaginary props, and of the imaginative force of the theatre.
