Lukáš Trpišovský (b. 1979) / Martin Kukučka (b. 1979) - Writing and directing tandem. In 2004 they graduated in directing and dramaturgy from the Department of Alternative and Puppet theatre at DAMU, having studied under professors Josef Krofta and Miloslav Klíma. They continue to study there as postgraduates. Their projects might be described as multi-genre or cross-over. They have won a number of awards for their work - the Evald Schorm Prize, the Josef Hlávka Prize, the DAMU Dean's Prize, the Grand Prix at the ZLOMVAZ international festival in Prague, and the Grand Prix at the international festival FIST 2007 in Belgrade. They have been nominated for Talent of the Year in the Alfréd Radok awards three times in a row. They have worked long-term at Archa Theatre's Archa.Lab theatre laboratory in Prague, where they have created numerous productions: Nickname (2004), A Child In Her Mind (2005), Understand (2005) and 8 - Birds Black, Tits Great. They have also worked with leading Czech theatres, including the National Theatre in Prague (Heroes, 2006), Theatre on the Balustrade (If This Were Theatre ..., 2004 and Plush, 2005), the Švanda Theatre (Shock EVEnt, 2005) and Czech Radio (Hearing Andersen, Plus, Playground). Together with the theatre schools VŠMU in Bratislava, PWST in Wroclaw and Krakow and DAMU in Prague they have created several international projects - MacBeth (2003), Paradise of the Heart Labyrinth of the World (2006). In addition to producing their own work, they lead workshops (Prague, Wroclaw, Bratislava, Belgrade, Mostar). Their work has been presented at numerous festivals throughout Europe.
