Fragmente.
A choreographer-director, Alain Platel, and a writer-dramaturge, Arne Sierens worked with four actors and two teams of four children. Their main source of inspiration: the exhuberant full colour photographs from the book 'Living Room' by Nick Waplington, a photographer who entrenched himself for two years in two working-class families in the UK. Other essentials were the films of Vitali Kanevski (Russia), John Cassavetes (U.S.A.) and long walks in 'working-class quarters' in Ghent.
