“Kafka” is a 1991 mystery thriller film directed by Steven Soderbergh. The film is ostensibly a biopic, based on the life of Franz Kafka, but it blurs the lines between fact and Kafka’s fiction, creating a Kafkaesque atmosphere.
The plot revolves around Kafka, an insurance worker who gets embroiled in an underground group after a co-worker is murdered. This underground group is responsible for bombings all over town, attempting to thwart a secret organization that controls the major events in society. Kafka eventually penetrates the secret organization and must confront them.
