DER CHOREOTURG

Beschreibung

A FORAY into real and imagined spaces fabulated through sound, movement and speech - in search of a mysterious creature that goes by the German name of Choreoturg, which lives in its own environment, yet also appears to smuggle dangerous knowledge and contagious experiences into and out of the theatre.

After exploring the North Pole in “Looking for Johnny” (2007) and “Nach Hause” (2010), examining the vicissitudes of father-son relations in “Repeater - Dance Piece with Father” (2007), roaming the sidewalks of Berlin Mitte in “The Walk” (2012), observing the worlds of animals in “Animal Dances” (2013), and honing the attention in “Unfinishing” (2015), among other things, “Der Choreoturg” is the 13th joint adventure of Martin Nachbar and Jeroen Peeters.
