What to do when scenic fantasies are great, but production means are not? With the help of imagination techniques, hypnosis methods and simulation strategies, Jochen Roller fulfills a dream and, together with choreographer Monica Antezana, conjures up a musical on stage the likes of which the dance world has never seen before. With an ensemble of forty dancers made of cardboard, they create magnificent choreographic formations, transform the stage into rushing picture worlds of props and amaze with fancy low-tech stage magic - and twenty guaranteed costume changes! At a time when currencies are falling and cultural bureaucracies are cutting back, this production pushes the rating of dance artists' last resources to dizzying heights. Charm, imagination and endurance seduce to indulge in an opulence that seems not at all contemporary.
