In »Snakeskins« geht es um Häutungen, Transformationsprozesse ' um das, was entsteht, und um das, was im Laufe der Zeit wieder vergehen wird. Eine weitere Etappe von Benoà®t Lachambres unermüdlicher Bewegungsforschung auf der Suche nach dem authentischen Ausdruck. »Snakeskins« spielt mit dem Blick des Zuschauers und lässt ihn darüber im Unklaren, ob er passiver Teilnehmer oder Provokateur, Versuchstier oder Manipulateur ist. Eine multimediale, multisensorische Performance rund um die Begriffe Haut und Oberfläche. »I presented my first evening of solos more than ten years ago. It was more of a duo, however, since composer Laurent Maslé accompanied me on stage; and the work ended with an intervention by Nadia Lauro. ”ºSnakeskins”¹ is the title of my new work (...), a solo for me, accompanied this time by composer and multi-instrumentalist Hahn Rowe. (...) ”ºSnakeskins”¹, inevitably, is about molting, with an emphasis on the result and decomposition over time. (...) I fluctuate between a derelict homeless person and an avatar that appropriates all that it touches. Like someone who suffers from a syndrome that reveals unknown reflexes, I offer myself to be stared at in fascination like an intriguingly sticky insect. (...) Am I in the process of regressing, or am I in fact highly evolved? Do we really know the difference, in contemporary society?
