"Yep / Video Playback" ist Teil von Paul Gazzolas "Situation Series", die den Übergang zwischen Performance und Installation erforscht. Zwei Tänzerinnen erproben in dem vierstündigen choreographischen Spiel das Zusammenwirken von Zeitverschiebung, synchroner Bewegung und Musik. Ihnen stehen dabei 120 Bewegungsphrasen zur Verfügung. Ohne Absprache versuchen sie, zur selben Zeit mit derselben Phrase zu beginnen. Sind die Tänzerinnen synchron, sagen sie "Yep" und bewegen sich weiter, sind sie es nicht, sagen sie "No" und das Spiel beginnt von Neuem. Daniel Kötters Videoinstallation erweitert die Performance: Bilder der gefilmten Zufalls-Choreographie werden in Zeit- und Perspektiv-Verschiebungen in den Raum zurückgeschickt. Die Zuschauer sind eingeladen, sich durch die Installation zu bewegen oder von der Bar aus zuzuschauen und dabei ein Bier zu trinken. www.radialsystem.de "Yep / Video Playback" is part of Paul Gazzola's "Situation Series", which explores the transition between performance and installation. During the four-hour choreographic game, two dancers examine the interaction of time shifts, synchronized movement and music. There are 120 movement phrases available for them. Spontaneously, they attempt to begin the same phrase at the same time. If the dancers are in sync, they say "Yep" and continue moving; if they are not, they say "No" - the game starts from the beginning. Daniel Kötter's video installation extends the performance: Images of the filmed aleatoric choreography are projected back into the room, but shifted in time and perspective. The audience is invited to move through the installation or to watch from the bar while having a beer.
