Silent Trio, Epilogue is the final chapter of the first major collaboration between Christina Ciupke and Darko Dragičević. The project started in January 2020 and unfolded in seven chapters. In their long-term research, the artists explore the forces of growth and decay in nature and man-made constructions. Their research led them to engage with the intricate lifecycles of trees, the legacy of the Spomenik monuments in former Yugoslavia, and urban ruins that once had a function in the political landscape of Berlin. How can the physical experience of these spaces be recreated and transmitted through different media? Christina and Darko invite the audience into an immersive space in which the elements of their collected archive will flow in and come together.

«Silent Trio, Epilogue» ist das letzte Kapitel der ersten großen Zusammenarbeit zwischen Christina Ciupke und Darko Dragičević. Das Projekt begann im Januar 2020 und umfasst insgesamt sieben Kapitel. In ihrer Langzeit-Recherche erkunden die Künstler*innen die Kräfte von Wachstum und Verfall in der Natur und in von Menschen geschaffenen Konstruktionen. Ihre Nachforschungen führten sie zu einer Auseinandersetzung mit den komplexen Lebenszyklen von Bäumen, dem kulturellen Erbe der Spomenik-Denkmäler im ehemaligen Jugoslawien und städtischen Ruinen, die in der gesellschaftspolitischen Landschaft Berlins einst eine Funktion hatten.

Wie kann die physische Erfahrung dieser Räume neu erschaffen und durch verschiedene Medien vermittelt werden? Christina und Darko laden das Publikum ein in einen immersiven Raum einzutauchen, in den die Elemente ihres gesammelten Archivs einfließen und in dem sie zusammenkommen werden.
