Plant Hunters develops through two bodies with their different physical discourses – the dancer and the musician. The intention behind the process was to breakdown the opposition between these two functions. Using various text materials, characters have been created which have contributed to work beyond the conventional roles of a musician and a dancer. The musician is also a storyteller, or as Angela says, a ‘DJ of emotions’. A dancer works with voice and text as an extension of expressive possibilities. The challenge is to combine movement and language in different ways.
