Artistic Director, Sally Anne Friedland Dance Company (DDC) Sally-Anne Friedland is an acclaimed Israeli choreographer, dancer and teacher. She began her dancing career with the CAPAB ballet company in her native Capetown, South Africa, then danced for two years in Europe, and after moving to Israel with the Bat Dor and Bat Sheva dance companies. Later, as independent solo dancer, Mrs. Friedland won several prestigious Israeli and international dancing awards. As a choreographer, Mrs. Friedland created her first full-length work, Dov Hoz 19, in 1991, soon followed by others. In 2002 she founded the Sally Anne Friedland Dance Company (DDC), for which she created half a dozen full-length works, some shorter pieces, and tree successful children shows. Her works are performed extensively on stages throughout Israel and have participated in international dance festivals in Paris (France), Sweden, Lithuania, Poland, New York, Atlanta (Georgia), Ecuador, South Korea, Colombia, Serbia and Romania. Mrs. Friedland has done choreographies for the Theater and for Opera productions with the New Israeli Opera. She is often sitting as judge at various dance competitions.
