Born in 1968, he studied contemporary dance at the Seoul Institut of Arts. After having worked as a member of Dongrang Dance Ensemble, he graduated Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts in 1993 and joined City Contemporary Dance Company of Hong Kong. He has been the principal dancer of Dance Theatre ON from then on. As an acclaimed dancer and choreographer, Lee received the Grand Prize, the Prize for the Best Choreographer, and the Prize for the Best Dancer at the Hong Kong Competition in 1994, and performed at Sitama International Dance Festival, Andipanda New Choreographic Competition, and the Choreographic Competition of Bagnolet. He is widely recognized for his refined adhesiveness with which he weaves his style in confidence and intensity.
