Bianca Mayasari Figl realises projects in collaboration with colleagues from various disciplines at the interface of dance/research/education/archive. From 2012-2020 she worked at the Weltmuseum Wien in the field of program development, education and outreach. Bianca completed studies in Japanese Studies / Art History (AT), Classical / Traditional Dance (IDN), Arts & Heritage Studies (NL), Contemporary Dance Performance (IRL). In 2007 and 2009 she was awarded a scholarship for the studies of Dance at the Indonesian Institute of the Arts, Yogyakarta and in 2019 at the Akademie der Künste Berlin “What the Body Remembers. Dance Heritage today ”. Currently undertaking a PhD in Arts Practice Research at the University of Limerick (IRL). She works as a lecturer at the University of Vienna on Museum/Education and as a curator at the ArtSocialSpace Brunnenpassage.
