...was born in Reykjavík in 1982. She studied dance at the Iceland School of Dance in Reykjavík, followed by BA studies in dance & choreography at the ArtEZ Dansacademie in the Netherlands. After her graduation in 2006 she founded, together with Margrét Bjarnadóttir, Good Company dance theater. In 2007 Good Company produced SGWÍMSLI (Monstwers) – presented in Reykjavík Dance Festival in collaboration with fashion and product designers Hiro Aki Kanai, Nozomi Kume and Magda Malina - as well as VIKINGS AND JEWS, a collective performance of G.C. and Israeli choreographers Anat Eisenberg and Noa Shadur. The project was founded by the European Culture Commission. Since 2006 Saga has collaborated with Anat Eisenberg on several theatrical works produced and performed in Israel, Iceland and Germany. Their latest duet work “The Big Jump is presented in the 2008 edition of the TanzImAugust festival in Berlin. In 2008 Saga is furthermore engaged in productions of Alexandra Bachzetsis’ Company (CH), and in Eva Maria Kupfer’s “Schau der Dinge, a coming production for the opening of season in Gessner Allée Theater in Zurich. Saga was awarded 1.st choreographic prize in the 6th International Duo Competition in Budapest, 2007. In 2006 she joined Panic Productions for the creation of Red Lilies by Sveinbjörg Þórhallsdóttir in Hafnarfjörður Theater in Iceland. (Quelle: Panic Productions)
