Dewey Dell was formed in 2007 by four young people: Teodora, Demetrio, Agata Castellucci and Eugenio Resta. The four founders of the company have strong skills in different areas and each of them gives priority to a specific aspect of the work, without giving up a collective modelling of materials. Teodora is therefore author of choreographies, Demetrio composes the music, Eugenio designs the lights and the set, while Agata assists in choreographic creation. From 2007 Dewey Dell has created seven performances that have been presented in the main festivals around Europe and in some festivals in Australia (Melbourne Festival), Russia (Cross Art Festival), U.S.A (within the University of Wesleyan). Their work Marzo (2013) has been created in collaboration with the Japanese visual artist Yuchi Yokoyama and the theater director Kuro Tanino. Marzo’s world premiere took place in Graz, at Steirischer Herbst Festival, and its Italian premiere has been presented in Biennale Danza di Venezia 2014. The new project (2017), entitled Sleep Technique, is in collaboration with Massimo Pupillo from the band Zu for the creation of the score. Since 2011 Dewey Dell started a musical project, creating three performative live concerts where the choreography of the musicians is deeply involved in the creation of the electronic sound itself. The live concerts have been presented in clubs and in some musical festivals as Dancity Festival, roBot, Elita Festival, A l’Arme Festival in Berlin etc. Dewey Dell launched its self funded EP called ‘Black Fanfare // Dewey Dell’ in 2013. Dewey Dell has been part of the project Fies Factory/Centrale Fies from 2008 to 2013 and part of APAP (Advancing Performing Arts Project) from 2013 to 2016. Dewey Dell is now based in Cesena (Italy) and in Berlin. [sic]
