The libretto by Kristine Tornquist includes not only the royal drama between Khodorkovsky and Putin, but also the complex historical backgrounds from 1989 to 2013. The changing relations between economy and state also change over time the relationship between the protagonists, who at the beginning of each other not unlike - two young, ambitious men with big plans, who have nothing to lose. The complex interrelations of the historical upheavals and upheavals intertwine with financial mistakes and power politics intrigues to a greenhouse, where newcomers thrive well. But once the two opponents have reached the top, the differences in character are apparent. While one secures his territory, the other keeps on thinking and risking everything.
 
For this production, sirene received the Austrian Music Theater Award in 2017 and thus the award for so-called best off-theater in Austria.
