MINE

Beschreibung

Mine : a rich source
 Mine : an explosive device
Mine : something that belongs to me
Mine : to dig in… in order to obtain something precious

"MINE" by T.I.T.S. is an audio-visual performance about the relationship between people and their sense of possessing - the instinctual drive within human nature to make territories, to "own" things. T.I.T.S. investigates the intersections between sound and voice, physical expression and visual form. This physical concert/operetta explores our personal experience of "(not)having", how do we define own individual territories and what are the strategies of claiming our (personal) space. We believe that our personal universe reflects the larger social cosmos.

To experience, encounter, undergo, face, meet, find,
go through, run into, come across, be subjected to, have experience of,
be faced with, taste, possess, own, hold, be in possession of, be the owner of,
be the (proud) possessor of, have in one's possession, have to one's name,
count among one's possessions, be blessed with, boast, enjoy,
keep, maintain, retain, hold, use, utilize,
 occupy.

Our urge to have and accumulate is deeply rooted. “Mine” takes a closer look at our need to „have“ things, spaces, and/or people, as well as the connection between this instinctual desire and the frustration of “not having”. We are curious to uncover how the presence and absence of “things”, shapes our personal and collective realities.

Welcome on a journey into the obsession of possessing.
