Beschreibung

Ti Quan, Ten Sources is an artistic act that get the artists as well as the audience to experiment various states of sensations, emotions, and consciousness.

Ti Quan is not telling a story but offers the opportunity for the actor/audience to get immersed in its own inner thoughts, its own points of view and the sensations perceived of what is going on at the present moment.

Throughout ten states (Ten Sources), all being character traits and emotional behaviours inherent to humans as much as beliefs and certainties, the acting cast and audience are experiencing the following life energies: Compassion, Dream, Happiness, an also Sadness, Anger or Jealousy.

Ti Quan is not trying to conceal what human beings really are and is not hiding either what is happening in the present time of the action. Everything is happening there, in front, next to or behind oneself, everything can be seen and perceived. The audience as it is is placed at the very heart of the action, surrounded by instrumental sounds, by physical gestures, by video images, and by the lyricism of words hitting the right expression in each language. Everyone’s choice of placement and location modify its listening and observation angle as a point of view.
