Inspired by the discourse of Peter Sloterdijk en Slavoj Žižek, the director Wouter Van Looy and video artist Wim Catrysse examine the way the global crisis is being handled.
 
 Earth Diver is an initiative from director Wouter Van Looy. A multimedia portrait of breath-taking strength about a society in crisis, desperately seeking for answers. ChorWerk Ruhr sings religious music by Heinrich Schütz, eyes turned upward in a hopeful glance. They move amidst an impressive stage video background where Wim Catrysse drafts a seemingly fictitious portrait of an ice-cold place where miners continue to dig against all odds. At the centre performer and singer Phil Minton reads and sings a haunting poem about loss and detachment.
