A music-laboratory in seven scenes from the school of astonishment
Bertl Mütter establishes experimental arrangements that thematize - - greatly sensual in musical terms - different aspects of escape: escape from reality, pursuit of pleasure - and what further more possibly could barely save our naked skin. Escape is not equal to escape. One can get away with it once again, or one can be accused of escaping as an aesthetic offense.
Already the title „OPERAN! About Escape“ unmasks the crooked gaze, and presumably the accusation - immediately standing in the room - will not invalidate the fact that it is an unfit and in any case inadmissible escapism into the idiosyncratic: He shall, before dedicating himself to music theater (with a Wagnerian Gesamtkunstwerk claim), learn how it really works! Well, all learning comes from trying-it-again-and-again: what we master immediately, we will never be really able to manage. However, contain myself I will, continue to complain, even if „OPERAN!" is a travesty. (Yes - No. - Don’t know.).
