mood - baila hasta que te mueras, o la imposibilidad de explicar un crimen

Beschreibung

mood - ...

.... is a multi-narrative and multi-media, large format work that uses the construction of a landscape of failure as an expository method. Its protagonists are some of those who live in the peripheries of a so called success of contemporary urban societies.
In MOOD the characters live their lives without apparent sense, as in an eternal dance of pain and absence - beings that have been excluded from any possibility of choosing and are subjected to the power of invisible forces that determine the course of their lives. Automatons of consumption and functioning, subjugated no longer by an omnipotent and capricious God exalted in the heavens, but by a clique of contemporary Mephistopheles who inhabit the offices of large corporations, local governments and globalized entities.
In addition and as a narrative tactic, MOOD explores the musical form: MUZAK, "environmental" music produced for restaurants, stores and offices. The success of the company was caused by an early discovery: MUZAK could apparently make workers happier and more productive. This way it becomes one of the most perverse tactics that some groups in power have concocted to achieve the submission of majorities to their needs and whims.
In MOOD, the bodies of the dancers and actors, the music and some machines, inhabit the scenic territory of a gran marathon of deception. Narrative bodies in a constant movement that progresses, while BEARING toward self-destruction.
