One night Martin Luther King has a dream in which he meets Luther, the theologist of reformation. King, who promotes nonviolence, organizes protests and marches to defend the rights of Afro-Americans. He is expected to appear in front of the people in Memphis, but he is shot dead.
In the afterlife, he meets Luther, then addresses his wife in a song, who recalls the message of Christ in King's teachings with Baptists on Earth.
The opera speaks out against the oppression of minorities with the principles of faith.
