Zusätzlich auf DVD: Interview mit Renata Mézenov Sa (auf Italiensich). A new vision of the play Medea, by Eurípides, which is presented as a monologue by the actress Renata Mézenov Sa (Havana, 1969). The play "Medea, exilio del tiempo" is inspired on Medea, material of the German playwright Heiner Müller, which in turn parts of the Euripides classic. The protagonist in 1991 after playing on several occasions the German play adds some changes from the point of view of the text, costumes, music and other items which created a new work entitled "Medea, exilio del tiempo." In the staging, Renata who also serves as director of her own work, permeates her life experiences to reflect with great intensity and emotional power through the character Medea and the whole story around her, the role of a woman who leaves her country for love, facing the consequences of her actions and above all put up her dignity and worth as a person, as a mother, a wife, who is capable of sacrificing everything, even her children, to maintain her pride and revenge after being betrayed. "Medea, exilio del tiempo" is an excellent unipersonal play in which the dance, singing and an excellent performance converge with the superb lighting design and soundtrack by Mario Giordano (Cosenza, Italy, 1978). A minimal scenery, timeless and very well thought out in terms of dramatic and disparate reading levels that owns the work. Renata's interpretation goes beyond Medea and her internal conflicts. She is an actress who was brought from Russia when being a little girl, separated from her father and now resides in Italy, away from Cuba and all that this country allows her to feel it as her land. In the play she clearly goes beyond her own history, element that allows and creates a greater rapport of the public with the staging. She makes clear all the resentment and the consequences arising from the separation, it is as though she expresses "... a constantly changing space where to rediscover the dropouts recorded at the time of my journey ..."
