A prose-poem told and acted, on a simple set, with incidental singing (snippets of Moroccan Folksongs, English-language ballads, and original vocal melodies), drumming and mime. Based on journals Nancy du Plessis kept while visiting a group of traditional musicians whose chief asked her to marry his son to facilitate his emigration to the United States.
