Money is an ever-topical subject. Together with humour, the actresses bring serious issues on to the stage. The diverse answers they put forward permit open discussion on stage - or the ludicrously desperate assertion of one's own opinion. Secondhand Women critisise the accumulation of expensive products, while at the same time longing for designer handbags and the luxuries enjoyed by rich women. The performance ranges in genre and theme from operetta to authentic testimonies, from samba to the cancan, from the dollar to the crown and from its own pocket to the World Trade Center.
Review:
"Dance, cabaret, dama, musical, action film (...) under the heading of artistic display and 'prostitution', attemps to sell everything that can be sold - themselves, their creativity, beauty, youth, their own stories and abilities - Secondhand Woman grab fistfuls from an inhexaustible supply of artistic types and genres and throw it about."
