"On the Other Side" is a play about the lives of four lonely people. although all life stories can be summed up in one sentence, it is good to know that this sentence can be pronounced a million different ways. The authors search tirelessly for a place where reality meets fiction, a place where one thing becomes another. In "On the Other Side", a psychologically-marked woman is confronted with a lack of understanding from her family members. Then, for a change, it is she who starts to disturb them. Compassion and empathy give way to reproaches and accusations. The certainties of some clash with the beliefs of others, and this duel appears both madly comical and poignant when it reveals the loneliness of each person in a society going through huge changes. The production has already been shown in Belgrade, Berlin, Ljubljana, Podgorica, Kotor and Vienna, and at theatre festivals in Sarajevo, Brussels, Fribourg, Nitra and Skopje. It has won a number of awards at Croatian competitive festivals, including one for production of the year.
