A world away from the images of smiling dancers, eyes wide open and fingers extending gracefully upwards, Padmini Chettur has made a name for herself on the contemporary international scene. Following her appearance at the KunstenFESTIVALdesArts in 2005, the dancer and choreographer is returning to Brussels with Pushed, her latest creation. A European premiere at the Centre for Fine Arts!
In Pushed, her latest creation, she juggles with the seven emotions of Korean philosophy, amplified by the original instruments of the composer Maarten Visser. Between joy, anger, grief, fear, love, aversion and desire, Padmini Chettur clouds the issue. And the palpable becomes elusive...
