Ausgehend von dem Moment des Fallens und der totalen Aufgabe treibt die Performance IN THE BLIND SPOT den Körper an die Grenzen der Weichheit und des Zerfalls. Die vermeintliche Schwäche

des verausgabten Körpers deuten Guà°jónsdóttir und Schubot positiv um und feiern ihn als Verweigerung gegen den Imperativ der Leistung. In seiner Zerbrechlichkeit offenbart er ungesehene

Orte des Nicht-Widerstand-Widerstandes. In the blind Spot entwickelt eine sehr physische Bewegungssprache absoluten Loslassens, die sich gerade in ihrer Weichheit den üblichen Grenzen von Identität und (Selbst-)Behauptung entzieht. Grenzenlos unaggressiv enthüllt und provoziert sie zugleich.

In the blind Spot gehört zu der Performance-Reihe Blind Spotting von Margrét Sara Guà°jónsdóttir, und ist der erste Teil der Solo-Trilogie Körper ohne Macht von Angela Schubot. Radikal stellen Guà°jónsdóttir und Schubot den singulären Körper in den Mittelpunkt. Wie unter einem Brennglas treten verborgene Innenansichten zu Tage. Unter dem Titel The Fire from within kommt im September 2015 der zweite Teil der Trilogie an der Tanzfabrik Wedding zur Uraufführung. Den Abschluss bildet

dann am Ende des Jahres das gleichnamige Solo Körper ohne Macht von und mit Angela Schubot am HAU Hebbel am Ufer.

IN THE BLIND SPOT takes the notion of letting go as its starting point and leads the body to the edge of collapse and utter surrendering.Itstrives totransform the supposed weakness of the spent body into something positive and celebrate it as the refusal of the achievement imperative, the fullness

of its fragility revealing the unseen location of the non-resistant resistance. In the blind Spot expounds

a very physical movement language, extracting the usual limits of identity and (self) assertion by its very softness. With limitless non-aggression it reveals and provokes simultaneously.

The performance In the blind Spot belongs to the Blind Spotting Performance Series launched in 2014 by Margrét Sara Guà°jónsdóttir. It is simultaneously the first part of the solo trilogy Körper ohne Macht (Powerless Bodies) by Angela Schubot. Guà°jónsdóttir and Schubot radically put the singular body as the centrepiece. As if under a magnifying glass, hidden insides are brought to light. The 2nd part of the trilogy, entitled The Fire from within premieres in September 2015 at the Tanzfabrik Wedding, the 3rd part Körper ohne Macht by and with Angela Schubot follows by the end of the year at HAU Hebbel am Ufer.
