Multimediale Tanz-Theater-Performance

Eine Einladung der Ohio Northern University in den USA nahm Mart Kangro zum Anlass, sich mit seiner bisherigen künstlerischen Entwicklung kritisch auseinanderzusetzen. Er will Distanz gewinnen zu all den Glaubenssätzen, die bisher für ihn die »Religion« des Tanztheaters ausmachten, die ihm zum Dogma wurden.

Kangro begibt sich auf die Suche nach neuen Perspektiven bei der Betrachtung des Tanzes. In seiner Performance zeigt der international anerkannte Tänzer und Choreograf eine konzentrierte Zusammenstellung der wichtigsten Aspekte dieses Prozesses. Ein kluger und in seiner Minimalistik außergewöhnlicher Abend.

Wittingly is an experiment with your body and it´s sensations and wits.

What and with which wit?

"I made a begging bowl out of my wits, and they overwhelmed my steps, so that I didn´t know with whom to share this abundance."

Somewhere at the foot of same spatial curve is a state that can be called "movement expanse". The body stays in some different stance, looks at it´s gestures and their budding as if from aside. The wits of the searcher cannot be still, or he feels suffocated and bored. Whereever senses open up they are not imprisoned any more.Senses can dance whatever living beings he trusts and whose power wants to be part of him.

Do you remember that when space began to move you, air echoed sonorously and amiably for having embraced. It thanked you for penetrating it in a different way than before.
