Jennifer Aoki: The Conspiracy of Endings Choreography and performance: Jennifer Aoki | Original music and performance: Zane Barratt „The flow of rivers like people in movements of tumbling story. Waiting in port with life in hand.” „The Conspiracy of Endings” is a physical collage of dance stories based on various stages of life. The soloist examines what it is meant to be young, free, old, mature, and everything in between. The dancer captures, in movement, the eagerness of youth, the encompassing shadows of loss, and the patience that comes with maturity. In this deeply meaningful journey, one may wonder if aging is one long extended ending or composed of smaller beginnings, middles, and ends. Jennifer Aoki is a freelance contemporary dancer and choreographer from Vancouver, Canada. She received her formal dance training at Simon Fraser University in Canada, and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance in 2010. Jennifer co-founded Triadic Dance Works in 2010, a collaborative dance collective that has performed extensively in Vancouver, Seattle, and Berlin.
