« Je ne vois pas la femme cachée dans la forêt » (I don't see the woman hidden in the forest, from the work of Magritte) is a reflection on identifying roles, founded on the myth of Adam and Eve, as well as on the myth of Lilith, considered in several texts on Genesis as the first wife of Adam. Lilith's intervention into the couple formed by Adam and Eve addresses a number of issues : what are the images of feminine identity carried by Lilith ? What does this feminine character reveal about Adam's masculine identity ? How much of this is fantasy or psychologyl ? What would have been the impact of the Lilith myth on identifying roles, had the myth been transmitted ? Etc.
The choreographic research consists in dealing with the metaphorical and political aspects of these myths, whose symbolic character "could belong to the history of sexuality, of the respective roles that man and woman force themselves to play" (P. Auraix-Jonchière).
