Zwei Menschen betreten einen dunklen Raum. Eine diffuse Lichtquelle erhellt ihre Gesichter. Sie schließen die Augen. Es hat den Anschein, als würden sie sich gemeinsam an etwas erinnern, als würden Bilder, Ereignisse, Menschen vor ihren inneren Augen treten. Sie beginnen abwechselnd zu erzählen und beschreiben blind, was sie sehen. Sie tun, was sie sagen und führen die Handlungen im Moment der Beschreibung aus. Aus dieser reduzierten theatralen Spielanweisung entwickeln Regisseur Peter Stamer und die PerformerInnen Sybrig Dokter und Frank Willens eine Performance, die zugleich zeigt und nicht zeigt, was die Figuren zu sehen vorgeben: einen im mehrfachen Sinne ungesehenen Film. Unseen ist Teil des performativen Projekts For Your Eyes Only. Two blinded performers remember what they have never experienced, solely visible for their inner eye. They make an audience imagine what is actually not there, they reach out into the dark, try to grasp the stories which are buried in themselves; each body tries to re-member pieces of a plot nobody has ever uttered, experienced before; from his point-of-view, the performer-body shares his memory with the blind eye, the blind ”šI' of his co- actor. Thus a collective body, a polyphonic subject, recollects memories by piecing them together ' in an ultimate gesture of re-membering. In this performance we combine story telling and work on physical representation with the help of a performative tool called ”šInner Eye Movement. We look at blindness as a motor for film stories, development of movie characters and text. Unseen is a follow-up of a research workshop at the Notafe Festival in Viljandi/Estonia 2011.
