Pattern & Variability Pattern & Variability was inspired by judo. Aggression, the human instinct, stays inside of us and continuously needs the exit. Sports have been developed for the chance of emitting the violent urges. This piece embodies symbolic meaning of sports by harmonious image of rhythm, movements and space. It was created for the Asia-Africa Dance Exchange program performed by African and Asian dancers and a musician at the Seoul International Dance Festival 2008. The mixed sensitivities of Asia and Africa create distinctive rhythm, movements and energy.
