Third part of the «representation trilogy»: Freezy, Titolo provisorio: senza titolo and Show An impossibile self-portrait. A self-interview, many interviews. The confession. I am a presenter, a dancer, a show-man. I am…me, me…who am i? i am my own time. I am my own things. I am my own heroes. I am my own alter ego… i am so many chances that i dissolve, i disappear, i coincide with the space that surrounds me, i coincide with the eyes which look at me and that by looking at me make me feel possible and so real… This work deepens an issue that i have been investigating for years which led me to the creation of “Freezy” and “Titolo provisorio: senza titolo”, my last two performances. “Show” was born as the third and the last part of the so called «representation trilogy». “Show” is my research: it deals with some questions that i am still wondering despite the awareness that to give an unique and decisive answer is impossible. I am living a time where my presence and my identity are fragile, unsure, confuse. I standing aside of my own things and so i become the core of my work, of my research, of my questions. There is a strange fight and a strong contradiction between being and not being, escaping in order to remark the presence in the absence, the necessity of telling and defining my self… in a continuous game, in a continuous dialectic between introducing and representing myself…between lying and believing to tell the truth… This new creation wants to investigate, to show, to render ridiculous and to bring into question the presence, my own presence indeed: a continuous effort to define myself in relation to myself and the others whom i see into and around me and the continuous failure of my attempts. Both formally and conceptually, this new performance is a work on the idea of fragmentariness, of impossibility, of ridiculousness. As a consequence, the core of my performance has to follow this premise: this show will be consciously deceptive to itself, will block and will collapse… I would like to dwell on the word “ridiculous”. in my performances, people laugh a lot. It is not my will. Comicality is not my aim. I rather work on ridiculous as an exposition of the private side, as an expression of prohibited, of what we would never like be to get known of ourselves. I usually start from something hard, tragic, private, sometimes painful and i really do not know why comicality and thoughtlessness become features of my works.
