MEDIATHEK

Inspired by the Southern Italian tarantella dance, in which the bite of the tarantula spider produces alternating fits of sleep and frantic dancing. Two men and three women are overcome with searing pain and an irresistible urge to dance.

Shot entirely on location in Palermo, Sicily. A collaboration with choreographer Angelika Oei.
