MEDIATHEK

The Migrant Body is a collaborative research project involving choreographers, dancers, writers and visual artists from the UK, Romania, Netherlands, Estonia and Italy. It explores the traditions, histories and cultures of those places hosting the project, making comparisons with the dynamics of the human body. Experimenting with the concept of the ‘migrant body', the artistic team interacts with local communities, conducting a research process that proposes performances in which dance, visual arts and writing meet and are fused, lighting up the field of micro-politics with a global message: that we have ‘strong roots, if even only to the soles of our feet, no linger limited to our own territory but conducted in a global context'.
