A performance by Palle Granhøj based on choreographical material created in cooperation with the performers.

“La CA-LA-SH La Latin” recreates a Latin American dance competition featuring rumba, samba, cha-cha-cha, jive, and paso double. From television, most people will be familiar with “terrifying” visions of dancers in such competitions: layers of hair cream, flashy smiles, shiny dresses with daring lowcuts and exciting twisting hips. However, in Palle Granhøj’s choreography, this frame functions in the same way that the fashion show functions in Granhoj’s “Obstruction Ultimatique”.
This choreography is also a result of Palle Granhøj’s work with the obstruction technique.
