MEDIATHEK

The name of the piece describes and illustrates the spirit of a work that unites contemporary dance and new media performance. The solo performance by the dancer Chloe Loftus, examines motor function based on movements that are developed through motion capture and improvisation on a theme. The performer loses and re-finds herself, continuously creating a dialogue with herself- in movment or still, present or absent- according to the exigencies of particular positions in the space.
