The Place Prize is a choreography competition, uniquely for commissioned works, first held in 2004. Entry was open to all UK-based choreographers - 198 entered, and 20 were commissioned to make new 15-minute works, which were performed at The Place. From these 20, five were selected to go forward to the finals, and one was chosen as the overall winner. This DVD includes the full length pieces from the five finalists, togehter with interviews and their original video entries: Rafael Bonachela, Rosemary Butcher, Tom Roden & Pete Shenton, Hofesh Shechter, Bawren Tavaziva.
