«Li esta frase num livro de Jean Cocteau e logo me inspirou. Por implicar movimento quase visível, pelo menos para mim, e ao mesmo tempo por achá-la bastante poética. Apeteceu-me logo fazer uma dança dedicada ao que esta frase me fez sentir. Sinto que sou uma coreomaníaca, e cada vez mais. Quanto mais danço, mais me apetece faze-lo. E cada vez mais me fecho no que a dança é por si só, na sua forma. Provocadora de emoções, sentimentos, coisas que nem eu sei explicar bem porque gosto de fazer e ver. Gosto desta confusão que é de lhe sentir a essência mas de não conseguir agarrá-la. De não saber muito bem porque escolho alguns movimentos, ou até porque chego a fazê-los. Esta frase fez me pensar nisto tudo que me baralha e me encanta. Nisto tudo que disse e em tudo o que ficou por dizer. Nisto tudo que a dança é.»

“I read this sentence in a book by Jean Cocteau and it immediately inspired me. Because it implies movement that is almost visible — at least to me — and at the same time because I found it quite poetic. I immediately felt the urge to create a dance dedicated to what this sentence made me feel. I feel I’m a dance addict, and increasingly so. The more I dance, the more I want to do it. And I find myself becoming more and more absorbed in what dance is in and of itself, in its very form. It stirs up emotions, feelings — things I can’t even explain properly myself, yet I love to do and watch. I like this confusion of sensing its essence but being unable to grasp it. Of not quite knowing why I choose certain movements, or even why I end up doing them. This phrase made me think about all of this that baffles and enchants me. About everything that was said and everything that remained unsaid. In all that dance is.”
