The collaboration between Meg Stuart and Francisco Camacho traces back to the beginning of their careers. Now they reunite on stage for a duet, drawing inspiration from the Nuragic ruins of Sardinia – remnants of a rich culture that slowly eroded. In a landscape that seems to exist outside of time, the artists delve into the gaps and absences in the record, excavating emotional artefacts. They channel a lost language with their voices, and meet through rhythm and repetition. By listening to the past, they construct an archeology of the present that does not distinguish between the mystical and the mundane.

Meg Stuart studied dance at New York University and lives and works as a choreographer and dancer in Berlin and Brussels. In 1994, Stuart founded the company Damaged Goods in Brussels to develop artistic projects in their own working structure. Together they have created more than 30 productions, from solos to large-scale choreographies, site-specific works and installations. In collaboration with artists from various disciplines, Stuart searches for a new language for each piece and often moves in the field of tension between dance and theater. She has worked with Pierre Coulibeuf, Philipp Gehmacher, Ann Hamilton, Gary Hill, Benoît Lachambre, Jorge León and Hahn Rowe, among others. The use of theatrical elements and the dialog between movement and narrative are recurring themes in her choreographies. In the search for new forms of presentation and territories, the identity of her artistic work is constantly being redefined.
Francisco Camacho studied dance at the schools of Companhia Nacional de Bailado and Ballet Gulbenkian, later joining the company as an apprentice. In New York, he attended different workshops and studied dance at the Merce Cunningham Studio and acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. He studied screenplay writing with Luís Falcão and creative writing with José Luís Peixoto. He has been studying voice with Lúcia Lemos.
He danced with several choreographers in Portugal and in New York. Since 1988, Francisco Camacho’s work has been presented in several countries in Europe, America and Africa. He choreographed and performed solos and group pieces.
He presented performances in co-authorship with Mónica Lapa and Carlota Lagido. The Portuguese press association Casa da Imprensa awarded him the prize Bordalo, as the most relevant individual in dance.
