The starting point of the project is Ami Garmon's reflections on the phenomenon of tourism, which she describes with the keywords "pleasure, power, discovery, discomfort and unification of perspectives". The solo explores the relationship between tourism and the entertainment industry. Where do the boundaries become blurred or dissolved in order to create the greatest possible effect of authenticity? The installation-performance creates the environment and situation of a visit and plays with the tug between the longing for comfort on the one hand and the unquenched thirst for adventure on the other, the human desire to travel where everything is unknown and still feel at home there. Ausgangspunkt des Projektes sind Ami Garmons Überlegungen zum Phänomen Tourismus, das sie mit den Stichworten "Vergnügen, Kraft, Entdeckung, Unbehagen und Vereinheitlichung von Perspektiven" umschreibt. Das Solo erforscht die Beziehung von Tourismus und Unterhaltungsindustrie. Wo verschwimmen die Grenzen bzw. werden sie aufgelöst, um einen größtmöglichen Authentizitätseffekt herzustellen? Die Installations-Performance stellt die Umgebung und Situation eines Besuches her und spielt mit dem Hin- und Hergerissensein zwischen der Sehnsucht nach Behaglichkeit auf der einen und der ungestillten Abenteuerlust auf der anderen Seite, dem menschlichen Wunsch, dorthin zu reisen, wo alles unbekannt ist, und sich dort trotzdem zuhause zu fühlen.
