For many years, Jérôme Bel has created dance portraits of choreographers and dancers. For his newest work, Bel has dedicated himself to telling the story of his own artistic work. The choreographer has created an “auto-bio-choreo-graphic” performance, staged by the actor Ruth Rosenfeld.

Seit vielen Jahren konzipiert Jérôme Bel getanzte Porträts von Choreografinnen und Tänzerinnen. Für seine neueste Arbeit widmet Bel sich der Erzählung seines eigenen künstlerischen Schaffens. Der Tänzer und Choreograf entwirft eine “auto-bio-choreo-grafische” Performance, die bis zu seinen Anfängen zurückreicht und Zweifel, Engagement, Misserfolge und Leidenschaften offen darlegt. Performt und inszeniert werden die Video-Archivmaterialien, Partituren, Erinnerungen und biografischen Fakten von jeweils lokalen Ak­teur*innen, am HAU von der Schauspielerin Ruth Rosenfeld.
