Displaced. Exiled. Transplanted. And yet always in the process of planting new roots. This is the basic ambivalence in the lives of many migrants. With her project Displaced/Angekommen, dancer and choreographer Maria Colusi brings this feeling on stage: How do bodies dance in the transition from an old to a new home? How does the migrant experience find its physical expression, oscillating between here and there, past and future, aspiration and reality? An intimate family story is a metaphor for the inner conflicts of an entire population. Danced, cast, and drawn on stage and on paper. Displaced/Angekommen is inspired by two pictograms from the archive of the Migrantas collective. The music and soundscape accompanying the dance piece are composed by Argentinian composer Edgardo Rudnitzky.

International Festival for Contemporary Dance and Music

The sixth edition of the Festival for Contemporary Dance and Music presents current pieces and new collaborations by international Berlin artists. In addition to choreographed, composed pieces, improvisational approaches to dance and sound find their stage moment in the festival. Over five days, the festival at DOCK 11 presents a multifaceted program on stage and invites the audience to be close to the current artistic works between dance and music.

Versetzt. Vertrieben. Verpflanzt. Und doch immer schon dabei, neue Wurzeln zu schlagen. Das ist die Grundambivalenz im Leben vieler Migrant*innen. In Displaced/Angekommen bringt die Tänzerin und Choreographin Maria Colusi dieses Gefühl auf die Bühne: Wie tanzen Körper am Übergang von alter zu neuer Heimat? Wie findet die migrantische Erfahrung, oszillierend zwischen Hier und Dort, Vergangenheit und Zukunft, Anspruch und Wirklichkeit – ihren körperlichen Ausdruck? Eine intime Familiengeschichte als Metapher für die inneren Konflikte einer ganzen Bevölkerungsgruppe. Getanzt, geworfen und gezeichnet auf Bühne und Papier. Displaced/Angekommen ist inspiriert von zwei Piktogrammen aus dem Bildarchiv des Kollektivs Migrantas. Die Musik und klangliche Begleitung des Tanzstücks stammt aus der Feder des argentinischen Komponisten Edgardo Rudnitzky.

Internationales Festival für zeitgenössischen Tanz und Musik

Die sechste Ausgabe des Festivals für zeitgenössischen Tanz und Musik zeigt aktuelle Stücke und neue Zusammenarbeiten internationaler Berliner Künstler:innen. Neben choreografierten, komponierten Stücken finden improvisatorische Zugänge zu Tanz und Klang im Festival ihren Bühnenmoment. An fünf Tagen zeigt das Festival im DOCK 11 ein facettenreiches Programm auf der Bühne und lädt das Publikum ein, nah dran zu sein an den aktuellen künstlerischen Werken zwischen Tanz und Musik.
