Wet Dreams

Leah Marojević und Temitope Ajose-Cutting sind N.I.PS (Nonnen im Paradies). Sie sind daran interessiert, die Mythologie der Sirenen als Ausgangspunkt für eine Dramaturgie zu verwenden, die ihre Stimmen und ihre Körper lenkt. Durch die Arbeit mit Modi der Verführung, des Rufens, des Beherrschens und Verschlingens arbeiten Leah und Temitope daran, einen einzigartigen Körper zu entwickeln, der zu einem fiktiven Kanal für Verklärung und Heimsuchung werden kann.

Leah Marojević ist eine Tanzkünstlerin, deren künstlerische Praxis Performance, Choreografie, Dramaturgie, Mentoring und Unterstützung für andere Künstler umfasst. Leah lebt derzeit in Berlin und London. In ihrer sich entwickelnden choreografischen Praxis geht es um Intimität, Phantasie und Traurigkeit. Zu ihren choreografischen Aufträgen gehören Sydney Dance Company (2019), London Contemporary Dance School Graduating Season (2020), Mass Hysteria Collective (2020) und Matilde Cerruti Quara, Jupiter Woods (2020). Leah arbeitet regelmäßig mit Colette Sadler und einer Reihe von bildenden Künstlern, Kompanien und Choreograf*innen in Großbritannien, Europa und Australien zusammen.

Temitope Ajose-Cutting lebt und arbeitet in London. Ihre Arbeiten wurden an Veranstaltungsorten wie South Bank, Royal Opera House und The Place aufgeführt und in Auftrag gegeben. Als Performerin hat sie mit Künstler*innen wie Florence Peake, Punchdrunk, Lea Anderson, u.a. zusammengearbeitet. Sie war Teil des Performance-Teams, das die Joan Jonas-Retrospektive in der Tate Modern neu inszeniert hat und performte für die bildende Künstlerin Megan Rooney in deren Arbeiten für Einzelausstellungen in der Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, der Lyon Biennale, den Serpentine Galleries London und dem Salzburger Kunstverein. Zur Zeit arbeitet Temitope an ihrem Solostück „Lady M (at home with Lady Macbeth)“, das 2023 in London uraufgeführt wird.

Leah Marojević and Temitope Ajose-Cutting are N.I.PS (Nuns in Paradise). They are interested to employ the mythology of the Siren as a departure point for a dramaturgy that will direct their voices and their bodies. By working with modes of seduction, calling, dominating and devouring, Leah and Temitope will work to develop a singular body that can become a fictitious conduit for transfiguration and haunting.

Leah Marojević is a dance artist whose practice spans performance, choreography, dramaturgy, mentorship and support for other artists. Leah is now based between Berlin and London. Her developing choreographic practice is interested in intimacy, fantasy, and sadness. Choreographic commissions include Sydney Dance Company (2019), London Contemporary Dance School Graduating Season (2020), Mass Hysteria Collective (2020) and Matilde Cerruti Quara, Jupiter Woods (2020). Leah collaborates regularly with Colette Sadler among a number of visual artists, companies and choreographers based in the UK, Europe and Australia.

Temitope Ajose-Cutting, based in London, has had work commissioned with South Bank, Royal Opera House and The Place. As a performer, she has worked with artists such as Florence Peake, Punchdrunk, Lea Anderson, among others. She was part of the performance team re-staging Joan Jonas retrospective at the Tate Modern, and has made and performed in works for visual artist Megan Rooney for her solo shows at Kunsthalle Düsseldorf, Lyon Biennale, Serpentine Galleries London and Salzburger Kunstverein. Most currently, Temitope is creating her solo work “Lady M (at home with Lady Macbeth)” which will premiere in London 2023.
