Underdogs

Pioneer of urban dance Anne Nguyen deep dives into the collective unconscious of the rebellious outcasts of our society: the “Underdogs”. Against a backdrop of soul music evocative of the political climate in 1970s America, three dancers proudly con front the invisible mass of their urban heritage. Through the gaze of the other and by coming face to face with their own inner antagonisms, they highlight the deep bonds that unite them, as well as the choices that set them apart.

Anne Nguyen, eine Pionierin des Urban Dance, steigt tief in das kollektive Unbewusste der rebellierenden Außenseiter:innen unserer Gesellschaft ein: die “Underdogs”. Zu Soul Music, die an das politische Klima der 1970er in den USA erinnert, konfrontieren drei Tänzer:innen stolz die unsichtbare Masse ihres urbanen Erbes. Durch den Blick der Anderen und die Auseinandersetzung mit ihren eigenen Antagonismen beleuchten sie die engen Beziehungen, die sie verbinden, sowie die Entscheidungen, die sie voneinander unterscheiden.
