Viktorie Čermáková (born 1966) - Actress and director. From 1980-1989 she was a member of the A studio Rubín under the leadership of Eva Salzmannová and Ondřej Pavelka. Together with David Czesany she ran the A studio II. In 1985-1986 she was engaged as an actress in the Theatre on a String, and from 1991-1994 she was a member of the Kašpar theatre company. She left in 1994 with part of the Kašpar company to join the Comedy Theatre, where she stayed until 2002. In the following years she studied direction at DAMU theatre school in Prague, from 2003 working as a director with the Drama Studio in Ústí nad Labem, A studio Rubín and the Divadlo Alfréd ve dvoře, Divadlo Letí, Divadlo Ta Fantastika, and Divadlo v Řeznické theatres, the National Theatre in Prague and Brno and the Comedy Theatre. A major part of ther work as a director consists of contemporary Czech and world drama and auteur projects. In 2006 she co-founded the Továrna theatre studio. At the 2007 Next Wave Festival she won an award for contribution to Czech theatre, and in the same year was nominated for an Alfréd Radok Award in the Talent of the Year category.
